In the summer of 2010, I anticipated the final draft for the corrections on It Is What It Is , my first novel, from my publisher. My wonderful editor, Khadijah Ali-Coleman (http://www.liberatedmuse.com/) did an awesome job, and I am pleased with the final piece.
And I am sure my readers will be as well.
I am presently at work on the sequel entitled Promise Me , due out Christmas 2012. I celebrated my one year anniversary of the release of my first novel, and it has done pretty well. I was invited to speak at two book clubs in 2011, and anticipate more.
If you or someone you know is in a book club and would like for me to attend events or speak at your meeting, please feel free to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a note on the guestbook page.
The year 2012 brought some challenges for me, as I decided to embark on a new way to write my second novel. I am known to free write, which means I just sit down and write my story as characters and events come to me. My dear friend Nathan suggested that I try to do an outline to see if that would help me. I was hesitant at first, but after sitting with my editor and hashing out the story in outline form, it was a welcomed challenge and I enjoyed it.
I am still at work on the sequel, and I have also completed with Nathan our first teen novel that is set to release this September.
Stay tuned.....there is more to come.
Here you will find a brief bio, and follow weekly excerpts from the book. Feel free to leave comments as well.
